Huge number of resends for the 3rd, 4th etc time. The returned tasks are all ending into the status Completed, validation inconclusive |

Seems excessive. Are there any that actually finish at 4,5 or 5,6 or 6,7 or 7,8??? max # of error/total/success tasks 8, 8, 8 I have 10,227 WUs Completed, validation inconclusive waiting for someone to get lucky as 7 & 8. |

My last task returned that got the status Valid was at 22 Jan 2021, 12:56:28 UTC. All tasks thereafter got the status: Completed, validation inconclusive. The highest number for initial replication, I could find so far is 6. |

I'm seeing this problem, also. Is the validator capable of marking ANY results as valid? I suspect it is not, and needs major changes. |

I've got replication as high as 9. This is lots of wasted resources that people are donating, not a very nice approach. |

Calm down, its a relatively new project with a big growth of users in short time. sometimes errors just happen. |

I have an overlap of valid/inconclusive tasks around 14:36 UTC. Also some Invalid foa all 8 (Completed, can't validate). Plus this one with 2 valid then inconclusives! TARGET_3_nb3di_006543_2 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/workunit.php?wuid=2803646 Paul. |

count me in RxDock on BOINC v1.00 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/workunit.php?wuid=2811533 and also CurieMarieDock on BOINC v1.01 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/workunit.php?wuid=2824646 are invalid with 8 error results when the validator is not changed or working wrong, than the source data has wrong parameters or data Matthias |

On 22 January, I had 706 valid and 680 invalid. Whether that is too high to conitnue is a matter of personal judgement. It is 706 more than if I weren't doing them, but then there are other options too. I hope it is fixed soon. I have three machines on it now. Maybe I will just leave one on to see when it is fixed. |

It seems that the validator is working again. All tasks are validating now, except tasks that reached the maximum replication of 8. Those finished tasks got the state 'Can't validate' :( |

Calm down, its a relatively new project with a big growth of users in short time.I see no significant lack of calm. In fact, yours is the only transgressive post that I can identify, the only one that presumptuously tells people what to do. I'd tell you what to do in turn, but that would not be "kid friendly." I have to agree with this response. There are a number of good Distributed Computing projects. I am most willing to donate my CPU and GPU time, but not for naught. True, a learning curve is to be expected. However, the administrator(s) did not appear to be addressing the problem, at least not in the forums. LLP, PhD Prof Engr. |

Hi A couple of things that concern me:
All of the WUs for my tasks seem to have been given out 2 or 3 times

Hi OK, so both of these points are a result of this project being configured with quorum=2. Nothing gets validated until 2 hosts have returned identical results. And most of my tasks that are still pending validation haven't yet reached their deadline and were also given out to a host that hasn't been online for quite a while. The other project I am contributing to has quorum=1 so it doesn't happen there. I'm curious how necessary it really is to gain consensus on each WU. Presumably it is there for a reason but it is a huge overhead... |

(BTW, there were and are other projects in which workunits can easily take several months until 2+ valid results came together. E.g. SETI@home, QuChemPedIA. It happens comparably quickly at SiDock, actually.) |
