I recommend that SiDock@home be WhiteListed for GridCoin. Cast your yea or nay vote in your GRC wallet 5.1. |

It seems to be up to James C Owens the Gridcoin guy: https://github.com/jamescowens He hasn't come here yet so I guess my poll didn't get his attention. |

Hi, The project will not be whitelisted as the poll do not meet the requirement for a whitelisting poll. That is probably also the reason why nobody have replied (lots of the "whitelisting" polls don't fulfill the requirement ) https://gridcoin.us/wiki/whitelist-process.html On the other hand it seems like this project is a good candidate for whitelisting (my personal opinion). |

To clarify, the project can be whitelisted if approved in the future in a valid poll. This poll is invalid, but someone else can make one that is valid and binding Here's what the process looks like for whitelisting from a project admin's perspective: 1. Check that the project can handle everything. Gridcoin brings in a lot of people. My understanding is that this project has some issues keeping a steady amount of WU currently, so this may be a concern. Gridcoin requires there to be a fairly steady amount of work, so this would be the main potential issues with whitelisting. Technically this project currently meets these metrics that it requires for this, but it's close and would likely end up not staying that way after being whitelisted. Another thing to note is that since Gridcoin rewards based on RAC, you also want to check that credit is given out fairly (as close to it as possible). 2. Say somewhere public that you are interested (like a forum here) and when you'd like to get on the whitelist (e.g immediately after a poll if approved) 3. Someone makes a valid poll for whitelisting. If you let me know that you are interested and ready, there is a group on the Gridcoin Discord channel #whitelsting-committee that would happy to create a valid poll See the information for project admin section of the link mentioned above for more details If you are interested or have more questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me or others |

So voting through the Gridcoin wallet is illegitimate. |

No, voting trough the wallet is legitimate. Whitelisting projects have requirements for the polls and project (those has been voted upon by the community trough the wallet polls). The reasoning behind some of the requirement are that an inclusion will make an inrush of crunchers to a project so work should be available and the project developer/admins should be up for it. (Servers should have capacity, good internet etc.) Your poll gives a good indication of what the community want, it seems that inclusion will go trough if a whitelisting poll is made and the developers of the project says it is up for the task. |

Ok I'm going to start another poll to WhiteList SiDock for Gridcoin but I'll need help. The rules say the discussion must be divided between 4 forums, none of which are BOINC forums. I have a github account and can create that Issue but I do not have a discord, reddit or steemit account and don't think I ever will. If some kind person will create those 3 discussion threads maybe it'll work this time. Also, be sure you make the Emergency Mandatory 5.3.0 upgrade to your GRC wallet. |

I created the Gridcoin wallet poll and the Github discussion thread: https://github.com/gridcoin-community/Gridcoin-Tasks/issues/244 The poll is now active. If you don't see it then click Reload Polls. |

Hi, Crtomir For a project to be included in the Gridcoin white list one of the requirements is that the developers are consenting to the inclusion. This has to be stated somewhere public. From your post here it seems like you guys could be interested, if so could you or any of the developers state it in the following Github issue? https://github.com/gridcoin-community/Gridcoin-Tasks/issues/244 A statement on this forum would also be good, with a post on the Github issue all the required info could be gathered in one place :) The SiDock project will not be whitelisted before the developer's consent and a date for inclusion has been agreed upon with you guys. ( The Gridcoin community don't want to overrun projects with crunchers before they have had time to prepare their servers and work availability to handle the potential in-rush. |

Dear fellow members of the Boinc community, I'm pleased to announce that the core group of the SiDock@Home project approved GridCoin idea, but we need some time to prepare our servers and also to set up checkpoints (important task in our priority list). We estimate that we will be ready to launch GridCoin in two months. What are next steps. Crtomir |

Dear fellow members of the Boinc community,1. There's no requirement in the Gridcoin rules for checkpointing, but, we BOINCers sure would appreciate it. 2. Don't give them any excuses to delay, start GRC now. 3. Whitelisting for GRC will open the door for these aggregators to come here: Charity Engine 1 & 2 (over a million CPU threads: https://www.charityengine.com/marketplace#continue) Team Gridcoin (about 1,000 members) grcpool.com, grcpool.com-2 and grcpool.com-3 (13,804 members) Don't delay, do it today. |

Gridcoin. Good idea ;-). Do you have experience how to set this. Project admins need to post a statement at github expressing their enthusiasm for whitelisting: https://github.com/gridcoin-community/Gridcoin-Tasks/issues/244 From https://gridcoin.us/wiki/whitelist-process.html 2. The project admin is contacted to see if they would be interested in going on the whitelist. They must agree somewhere public (at least before a poll) so people can verify. |
