The challenge of February 2022 is close to finish, but better late than never. :)
As usual, we made badges for future winners - with Valine! Another essential amino acid, valine takes its name from valeric acid, which in turn is named after the plant valerian due to the presence of the acid in the roots of the plant. Valine is associated with weight loss and decreased insulin resistance. Together with leucine and isoleucine, it serves as a source of energy in muscle cells, and also prevents a decrease in serotonin levels.
