In 2022 we'll have a Charity Event again.

How to participate in the Benefit-Crunching-Action on SiDock@home (15 January 2022, 0.00h UTC, to 30 January 2022, 23.59h UTC)

1. First, get as many computers as you can
2. Create an account on the project : this account can be personal or be for a group of users who want to crunch together (see below for this feature).
The invitation code is: Crunch_4Science
OR
If you already have an account on the project, go on it and quit your current team (for the time of the Charity Race).
3. Join this team: https://www.sidock.si/sidock/team_display.php?teamid=204
Just follow the link and click "join"
4. Now your account is joined to the Charity Team.
5. Crunch !!!!

Now, if several people want to crunch together on a unique account in the Charity Team, it's easy:
1. The group account needs to exist: it's a normal account. Create it if it doesn't already exist.
2. The owner of the account can see both the Account Key and the Weak Account Key.
3. The owner of the account can just communicate the Weak Account Key to the people who want to join the group account.

Which still exist, and pointed out the potential damage you could do. Perhaps you'd care to document the "charity" that this is in aid of. Getting more credits for your "team" is not what most people would regard as an example.

I see the idea as follows. The Charity Team attracts volunteers to contribute computational power during two weeks. This boosts the project's progress, and also promotes the knowledge about the project in the BOINC community. It is comparable with various charity sport events where participants make effort to raise funds rather than compete for one's own rating. We (the team of SiDock@home) are very grateful for being selected this year.
