I'm trying to add SiDock to an old portable that is part of grcpool-3. SiDock is added to the project list but it never completes initialization. Just back-off and tries again.

Looks like other are running SiDock with grcpool OK. Any ideas what is wrong?

Win 7, latest version of Boinc. World Community grid works fine on this pc. Have removed pc from grcpool and started over, same result.

Is your BOINC version 7.16.20?
If not, then update to 7.16.20 which is the latest version.

The pc is running the 32 bit version of Windows 7. Most recent version of Boinc for 32 bit is 7.14.2. 7.16.20 is not posted for win 32.

If this is the problem, looks like there is no solution as I doubt this old pc could run 64 bit Win 7.

I think your issue is the certificate issue that affected lots of people recently.

Download this file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XC3XHmjaZRYvJ2P3OzFaW62i4ShYThz8/view?usp=sharing

Then go to the BOINC install folder and copy paste it so you replace the previous one.

However, since you are running W7 32-bit, I regret to tell you that SiDock@home does not offer any 32-bit applications.
I don't know what your CPU is but it may support 64-bit. A quick search should answer that question.

Regardless, you should still update the file because other projects were also affected.

Thanks Falconet. Yes, I had installed the file on several other PC prior to the new 64 bit version becoming available. Too bad about no 32 bit versions but I understand why they chose to do not spend time on the old version.

I assume if 32-bit ARM version is supported it is possible to compile 32 bit version for windows using similiar guide as for linux https://www.sidock.si/sidock/forum_thread.php?id=125#946
I personally haven't tried this method yet and it might require some tech skills to compile on windows.
