I had to do this on 5 different projects, three of which were http not https, all were on Windows both XP and 7. My Linux machine didn't miss a beat. Plus if using Firefox it stores it's own list of certificates and if up to date will work even if some Windows files don't as they rely on the computer for certificate information. I had to import and install the new ISRG Root X1 certificate as an individual .pem file to get some of the Windows things working properly.
