Hello! I have some hosts with Windows 7 and installed updates from extendent support channel (support is ended at January 10 2023). All of these machines processed tasks with errors. Please fix it if possible. https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=19109 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=4194 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=8122 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=19107 https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=4210 I have possibility to run test application on this machine if the fixed version is available. All other projects work fine on those hosts. |

Hello Elle! Could you try a project reset and add BOINC applications and check antivirus settings (if exists)? Thank you fro participation! |

I have already tried to reset the project in the client on the specified hosts, I also tried to re-add the project via BAM. There is no antivirus on these machines. |

Maybe you have a test version that can create and send a dump? I can even do it manually. According to the processing time, about 2-3 seconds, it is obvious that at the very beginning, for example, during initialization or when starting the process with a wrapper, something went wrong. |

Would you download zipped application, unpack it, set environment variables in session to: CMDOCK_ROOT=$PWD PERL5LIB=$PWD\lib:$PERL5LIB try to start build/cmdock.exe and post output? (application cannot be run without workunit, but should be show message). Thank you! |

Application starts normally. Do this computers have a policies like "List of Allowed Applications"? Would you enable logging in cc_config.xml for error catch? |

Exit core 195 is equal to "The operating system cannot run %1." Microsoft Defender? |

Hmm... Thank you! ERROR_INVALID_MINALLOCSIZE The machines don't have any antivirus engine. The Defender also is completely disabled. That's error means the application request more memory than OS have for the process?... Or maybe the app used memory mapped files? The conclusion is that the application does not work on Windows 7 but does work on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 10. How much memory is the application requesting? |

About 150Mb per WU. Just in case check Boinc memory settings. But I'm sure you did it earlier. |

Yeap, all settings fine because WU for Africa Rainfall Project from WCG is worked fine, and there requirements are up to 1.5 GB of memory. |

O yeah, WCG ARP WUs are very, very huge! I see 2 different kinds of error on your Win7 hosts. First is error 195 (0x000000c3) reported by cmdock boinc wrapper. And cmdock app itself is exited with another error code: 0xc0000361 - STATUS_ACCESS_DISABLED_BY_POLICY_DEFAULT ("Access to %1 has been restricted by your Administrator by the default software restriction policy level"). Any ideas? Maybe it's time to check access rights of boinc DATA directory? Usually boinc managed access rights of this folder during attaching of each new project. But something could go wrong. If boinc is started under account "boinc_master" the "Full Control" right should be granted to "Boinc Admins" group. Otherwise "Full Control" right to the boinc DATA directory should be granted to the specific account on behalf of which boinc client starts. Second is error -148 (0xffffff6c), that is completely unclear since this specific error code is related to the audio subsystem ("AAC: Invalid ADTS syncword."). The same time cmdock app is finished with the strange message: can't run app: Ýòà ïðîãðàììà çàáëîêèðîâàíà ãðóïïîâîé ïîëèòèêîé. Çà äîïîëíèòåëüíûìè ñâåäåíèÿìè îáðàùàéòåñü ê ñèñòåìíîìó àäìèíèñòðàòîðó. (0x4ec) that is visualized as "Ýòà ïðîãðàììà çàáëîêèðîâàíà ãðóïïîâîé ïîëèòèêîé. Çà äîïîëíèòåëüíûìè ñâåäåíèÿìè îáðàùàéòåñü ê ñèñòåìíîìó àäìèíèñòðàòîðó." Nice. Looks like somebody was too lazy to set up properly the message encoding. Well, let's try to identify code 0x4ec. 0x000004ec - ERROR_ACCESS_DISABLED_BY_POLICY ("This program is blocked by group policy. For more information, contact your system administrator.") Very similar to previous error kind, right? Definitely, you need to check the access to DATA folder. Even if it looks good, try to set access rights again manually. |

Yes. Thank you. Currently I have only one problem with this hosts: the planner don't give tasks to the host https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=8122, others work fine. |

Yes. Thank you. Currently I have only one problem with this hosts: the planner don't give tasks to the host https://www.sidock.si/sidock/results.php?hostid=8122, others work fine. Looks like the server stopped sending tasks to that host because all it got back were errors. Wait a day or so and it should start receiving some work. |
